YR Urth Mineral Cosmetics uses only the purest 100% natural ingredients available and we do not use any perfumes, oils, talc, petroleum based  or genically modified ingredients.  Unlike many mineral makeup lines we do not use bismuth oxychloride, talc or cornstarch as fillers because they can irritate many skin types.  Product ingredients can sooth and help protect your skin from environmental factors such as sun and pollution which is why we use the following ingredients.

Titanium Dioxide

• Non Chemical Sun Block
• Micronized at +100 nm, no nanosized microns
• White pigment of crystalline structure with a high reflective index and great inertness able to reflect and scatter light, derived from the naturally occurring mineral ilimenite.  

Zinc Oxide

• Anti-Inflammatory and Sun Block
• Produced from naturally occurring zinc ore, absorber of the full UV spectrum of sunrays. Has anti fungal properties and has a soothing effect making it widely used against skin irritations.  
• Micronized at +100 nm, no nanosized microns

Iron Oxide

• Colour Source and Non Irritant
• Inorganic pigments composed of insolvable metallic compounds and are widely used in products worn in close proximity to the eye.  

Mica

• Colour Source and Glitter
• Pigments are natural colours with silky and shimmering effects derived from the mineral Muscovite Mica
• Serecite a white matt mica is used to lighten and add a softer silkier texture

EYES

YR Urth Mineral Cosmetics eye colours blend easily for long lasting, non-creasing coverage.  Our products will help you enhance and emphasize your eyes.  Wear our products dry for a soft, subtle, natural look or wet for a more intense and expressive statement.  Mix, match and blend our colours to create your own unique multi dimensional shades.  Try one of our 17 opulent colours to achieve, sexy, smokey, vivacoius or natural eyes.

Application technique below is for a natural look with added dimension.

Create a natural and soft base.  Tap a small amount of one of our base colours (Silk, Glow or Lotus Eye shadows) into the lid of the jar or a tissue.  Using the Small Fluff Brush pick up minerals with the side of the brush and tap off excess.  Apply in all over the lid from lash line up to brow.  Silk is our most popular base shadow. 

Using one of our Shadow /Liners (Smolder, Santa Fe, or Black) and the Eyeliner Brush you will define and accentuate the shape of your eyes.  Pick up a very small amount of  the Shadow/Liner and test on the back of your hand to see what depth of colour and weight of line you desire.  Dry application creates a soft, subtle look while wet creates a deeper shade and a more fine line.  To wet liner wet tip of brush in a drop of water in the lid of the jar to creating a light liquid paste.  Starting at the outer corner of the eye apply as close to you natural lashes as possible on top and bottom.

For a natural looking eyebrow, try our Smolder, Santa Fe or Black Shadow Liners dry, using an angled brush or eyeliner brush apply in small feathery strokes.  No harsh pencil lines to blend. Red Heads try the Cayenne Blush in your brows to add a little UMPH!

With the Small Fluff Brush, apply Moonstruck Eye shadow or Terracotta Blush from base of lashes to the crease of the eye (lower lid). To add definition and contour sweep  Bronze, Feather, Smolder, or Santa Fe Eye shadows, into the crease of the eye, starting at the outer corner to mid section then lightly across base of lashes, creating a soft horizontal  V (< ) shape.  Gently blend back and forth.

For fun Opal and Golden Eye shadows make fabulous highlighters to be applied just under the arch of the brow to the outer tip.

Bronzer

What is it about sun-kissed skin? Is it the call of lazy summer days on the beach or is it the even warm tone it provides. Whatever the reason Bronzers can be used year round and especially in the spring and summer.  All YR Urth Mineral Cosmetics offer chemical free sun protection.

Make sure you have dry skin, the bronzers will stick to oily or damp areas making your face look dirty.  Apply over foundation or you if your skin is coloured, apply over a blush  (already brown skin bronzer won’t show up but applied over melon or currant blush the combination is visible and sun kissed sexy glow).

Pour a very small amount of minerals in a tissue or lid and swivel brush (Kabuki or Blush Brush), tap off excess minerals, and lightly apply to the areas the sun would naturally hit your face – forehead, cheekbones, bridge of nose and chin.  Remember a little goes along way especially if you are fair or light skinned.

Blush

Blush can soften, lighten and brighten the shape of your face.  From warm and radiant, natural and healthy to sultry and sexy it creates mood and definition.  It is a fast way to update your look and change your makeup from season to season.

YR Urth Mineral Blushes are much more concentrated than traditional blushes so remember a little goes a long way.  Pick up blush in the same fashion as bronzer and foundation. Layer until you reach the desired intensity.

The most modern way to wear blush is to apply it with a big fluffly Blush Brush especially designed for applying powder.  For round faces sweep it lightly along and slightly under your cheekbones to add lift and definition.  Narrow faces need to be widened so apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks in a more horizontal stroke.

YR Urth Mineral foundations are three products in one.  A concealer, foundation and finishing powder.  Apply our loose powder wet or dry for long lasting coverage.

Foundation is to be used to enhance not hide or re-create your skin.  The key to enhancing your complexion is light application in a swirling motion in thin layers until you achieve the desired coverage.

 

Always apply to dry skin. The minerals will adhere to oil and moisture on face. The moisture will be absorbed into the skin and the minerals won’t leaving you with a heavy or blotchy coverage. 

Pour a small amount of minerals on to a tissue or into the lid of the jar, swivel the Kabuki Brush around the lid until minerals are in the brush, tap the brush on its base or on the side of the jar to remove excess minerals and apply with a swirling downward motion.

For wet application with a brush, fill the brush as above, mist the brush with our Skin Refresher Mist or water.  Make sure the brush is damp and not wet! Pick up a few more minerals and swirl on the face the same as dry application.  This provides the same coverage and effect as a liquid foundation.

A flocked sponge may be used in place of a brush with either wet or dry applications.

To conceal slight imperfections pickup a small amount of product with a small fluff brush or finger and lightly apply wet or dry to the blemish, vein or scar. Take Kabuki Brush and blend. 

As a finishing powder just pick a very small amount of powder into the brush tap down and lightly brush over the face to blend all makeup.  Voila!
